Healthcare supervisors function independently and assume responsibility for their actions in health procedures. Healthcare supervisors assist in emergency situations under the direction of the physician. Healthcare supervisors maintain confidentiality regarding patient and business functions of the center.
To obtain a position as a healthcare supervisor an applicant requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing. A qualified candidate should have three years of health association experience. A qualified healthcare supervisor must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain a variety of records. Computer skills are essential.
