Purchasing Auditor Jobs

An auditor examines and analyzes accounting records to determine financial status of establishment and prepares financial reports concerning operating procedures. Auditor advises clients regarding tax and estate planning, installing and operating computers, secretarial support, and general management advice services which are a great advantage to various businesses. Auditor job profile also includes reviewing data regarding material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures; reporting to management about asset utilization and audit results; and recommending changes in operations and financial activities. Auditor inspects items in books of original entry to determine if accepted accounting procedure was followed in recording transactions. Auditor counts cash in hand, inspects notes receivable and payable, negotiable securities, and cancelled checks. Auditor verifies journal and ledger entries of cash and check payments, purchases, expenses, and trial balances by examining and authenticating inventory items.

Auditor requires a bachelor\'s degree from accredited university in accounting, finance, or industrial management. Auditor should have highly specialized knowledge of standards for the professional practice of internal auditing. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong computer skills are required.
