Perform market analysis to establish key trends within the Supply Base, Market and Technology following standardized company procedures and processes using trend data in raw material, resource and component prices, new technology, changes in competitive market or industry structure
Develop and implement detailed strategies for commodities and suppliers, interface with other product groups and Commodity Global Leaders to optimize pooling demand and maximize leverage opportunities. Prior to implementation, concurrence should be obtained from other MAHLE location. These strategies must be in accordance with the Global Leader strategies and the product group goal objectives
Development of supply agreements to support organizational goals and objectives
Develop and implement cost reduction strategies in conjunction with the global commodity team and other departments, to meet organizational goals on existing material and components, through the use of Value Analysis/Value Engineering, re-sourcing of components, negotiations, advance negotiation concept, leveraging of demand with other MAHLE divisions, benchmarking, Lean processes and concepts, etc.
Assist management in the development and implementation of action plans to meet corporate and departmental goals and objectives. Track performance and regularly report progress towards attainment of departmental goals

3 - 5 years purchasing related experience, or business experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Tier 1 environment (cross-functional exposure preferred - technical and commercial experience)
University/College Degree in Business or Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial)
Strong in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong in SAP Software particularly in Purchasing
