Tripp Lite, a world leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity products, is seeking an entry level Supply Chain professional at its Chicago headquarters. The right candidate will plan and manage procurement processes for a category of products to ensure that purchased goods and services achieve quality, cost, inventory and delivery goals.
Balances inventory and fill rate to deliver maximum value.
Supports efforts to develop suppliers to reliably deliver product with lower costs, shorter lead-times and improved quality.
Through MRP review, forecast management, and vendor collaboration ensure product availability in a high-SKU, multi-site global environment.
Monitors in-stock and delivery status to take expediting steps and share accurate “available to promise” information with key internal stakeholders.
Supports improved methods for logistics compliance and new product introduction working with Operations, Engineering, and Product Management.
Maximize effective use of the ERP system and other company technology platforms to increase material management efficiency.
Using Excel with pivot tables, slicers, and V-look ups for analytical reporting.
Understanding of system queries in operating system by writing or running queries as required.
Complete understanding of total supply chain logistics
1-2 years purchasing or supply chain management experience with minimum $1M annual buying responsibility.
Experience using MRP and/or ERP
Experience creating queries and advanced Excel skills.
International purchasing and logistics experience preferred.
Negotiation, communication, problem solving, attention to detail and time management skills.
Modern manufacturing, electronics industry and dynamic environment experience.
Experience with managing projects from start to finish.
