LOOKING FOR A BUYER with experience purchasing within an Engineering environment in regards to a manufacturing/semiconductor facility!!Candidate will coordinate the procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization by performing the following duties:Coordinates all purchasing related activities of product development as assigned within the specified commoditiesMaintains close relationships with suppliers and take proactive approach in interfacing with them to resolve issuesManages the day to day relationship with suppliers for their assigned commoditiesSupports in supplier assessments to meet Brings approved suppliers into development projects to support new product developmentMonitors all pricing for all outsourced materials and/or parts in accordance with target costs and departmental goals. Support the Commodity Manager in developing cost models, generating RFQ's and gathering information necessary to produce commodity strategiesCreates and updates purchase orders, supplier scorecards, supplier profile folders and other documentation as required to ensure data integritySupports cross-functional team initiatives around total cost improvements and supply vulnerability reductionsMonitors supplier pricing and apply knowledge to drive the lowest cost. Performs all purchasing activities in accordance with current company policies and procedureManages the implementation of cost reductionsSupports the continual training of suppliers to ensure they are in compliance with policies and proceduresPossess and apply a broad knowledge of Supply Management principles, practices, and proceduresAbout Aerotek:Our people are everything.
