Purchasing Supervisor reports directly to the Purchasing Manager at The Sanctuary. This is a Full-time position with KIGR. Typical schedule is Sunday - Thursday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, however availability must be flexible.
The Purchasing Supervisor is in charge of maintaining the storage facility to ensure health and safety codes are upheld. Purchasing Supervisor also performs stock inventories and updates the company's inventory system as needed. Aside from placing orders with vendors, the purchasing supervisor oversees the inventory receiving process.
Daily research and ordering of food, beverage and supplies to maintain storeroom pars and fill next day orders.
Comparative price shopping for food and equipment.
Ordering, receiving and payment of all orders placed with Purchase Orders.
Assistance in receiving and delivery of goods throughout the hotel.
Sending and receiving of guest and group freight and mail when necessary.
Input of all vendor invoices relating to inventory and costs.
Assistance in end of month inventory counts and input and corrections of inventory counts in inventory software. Compiling of reports for end of month GL entries.
Monitoring and filling of vendor show bookings.
A high school graduate or equivalent vocational training is required. Some knowledge of food and beverage is a plus. Must have strong computer and communication skills. Must have or obtain knowledge of proper sanitation regulations and certification in sanitation.
Essential Physical Requirements:
100% -- Computer usage and communication between employees and venders.
50%--Stands during shift.
50% -- Seated during administrative tasks.
25%--Reaches, bends and stoops frequently.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. The ability to push/pull up to 75 lbs.
