Immediate contract opportunity located in Atlanta, GA for a Sourcing Manager for an established telecommunications organization. This position is responsible to manage, negotiate, monitor and source vendor contracts/sub-contracts. Ideal candidate will be someone who has worked in a Supply Chain Management business environment specifically in indirect sourcing, strategic sourcing; strategic planning, supplier development, and contract negotiation. Responsibilities for the Purchasing Program Manager
Manage, negotiate, monitor and source vendor contracts/sub-contracts related to teleceommunications equipment design and installation services.
Responsible for the delivery and execution of strategic Indirect sourcing projects for the category.
Identifying, evaluating, and selecting vendors to meet internal business needs, managing sourcing processes and completing necessary documentation (including RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs
Assist in negotiating product/service pricing and contractual terms and conditions
Provide evaluation of vendor performance and compliance when considering contract renewals.
Engage suppliers by leading the end-to-end supplier selection and bidding processes
Requirements for the Purchasing Program Manager
BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, Operations or a related discipline
Experience working in a Supply Chain Management business environment specifically in indirect sourcing, strategic sourcing; strategic planning, supplier development, contract negotiation
Experience negotiating, monitoring and sourcing vendor contracts/sub-contracts
RFx experience required
Knowledge of telecommunications equipment and installation services is highly coveted
