Position Description Leads and directs the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process for the business unit. Partners with business unit management to develop and implement Supply Chain strategies. Job Responsibilities Implements and directs a planning cadence in the business unit and escalates issues to the management business review Partners with local management and corporate to develop and implement supply chain strategies Oversees, reviews and reports supply chain metrics, corrective action status, audit results and action item status on a regular basis to location and corporate leadership; ensures performance standards set by corporate supply chain for all operations are met Collaborates with and manages supply chain policies and processes to ensure consistency and standardization Creates and manages business metrics and standards that support customer order fulfillment targets Participates in the Business Unitu2019s acquisition due diligence process, as required Oversees compliance with all regulatory requirements and enforces ethical standards related to purchasing and supplier relationships Leads negotiations for major contracts Directs the work of groups of employees (leads through managers) Performs other duties as assigned Job Skills Requirements Superior analytical skills with knowledge of lean six sigma and continuous improvement methods Strong written,oral and interpersonal skills Strong negotiation skills Organized, flexible and easily adapts to changing, fast-moving conditions Ability to work well in high pressure situations in order to meet deadlines and takes accountability for delivering on commitments Makes fact-based decisions with a sense of calculated risk-taking after consideration of both total company and Business Unit objectives Approaches problems from different perspectives to provide alternate course of action and offer recommendations for problem resolution Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location Education Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent education and experience Experience Requirements Ten years progressive experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Planning and Logistics Five years of direct management experience in a consumer goods or manufacturing company Working knowledge and experience with resource planning systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics) and Word, Excel , Powerpoint Working knowledge of Low Cost Country Sourcing, International Logistics, Contract Manufacturing, Total Landed Cost and Total Cost of Ownership, INCOTERMS and trade compliance Physical & Environmental Requirements Domestic and/or international travel as required up to 20% Briggs & Stratton Corporation, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the worldu2019s largest producer of gasoline engines for outdoor power equipment.
