Supply Chain Manager','SUP0100BZ','US-TX-Laredo','!*!We are growing - grow with us! Medline Hartland is seeking a Supply Chain Manager in their Readycare Division.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the Buyers, Supply Team, and Warehouse. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for inventory accuracy, outbound product shipments, efficient and cost effective logistics, housekeeping and safety. This role is responsible for maintaining an accurate production schedule and forecasting customer needs. This role manages the negotiation of pricing and purchasing raw materials/supplies in a timely fashion to minimize equipment downtime.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Manages day to day operation of scheduling, purchasing, logistics, and warehouse. Ensures efficient operations with minimum equipment downtime and supplies quality raw materials.
Provides technical support for warehouse team and production schedule. Develops and executes reports for production scheduling and purchasing to eliminate manual intervention. Reviews production requirements and maintains the production and purchasing schedule to meet demand requirements.
Develops recommendations and communicates to senior management with respect to inventory and backorder issues, new product introductions, and product conversions. Conducts regular safety meetings and reviews 5S program for the department. Develops and maintain a Min/Max inventory level for raw and finished goods consistent with business financial and cost goals.
Manages inventory transactions, cycle counts, and other functions associated with inventory accuracy. Monitors and executes against backorders.
Prepares and presents future projections of inventory, volume and service planning and space considerations. Assures that the system parameters driving purchase orders are correct. Manages communications with all suppliers, domestic and import (via Medline Shanghai office).
Recommends process improvements to reduce supply chain costs.
Identifies operating inefficiencies, diagnose operational problems, possess the ability to correct the same as well as train warehouse personnel to do the same.
Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; build and maintain employee morale and motivation; ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies.','!*!Education
Relevant Work Experience
At least 3 years manufacturing, distribution or purchasing experience.
Experience applying knowledge of MRP, buying, demand planning and forecasting.
At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.
Experience assessing and initiating actions independently. Experience in taking charge of a situation, team or project.
Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
Experience solving practical problems and addressing multiple variables in an environment of rapid change.
Experience analyzing data and/or process to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
Experience presenting to and communicating with various audiences (ex. others with differing language, senior management and non-technical audiences).
Experience with FDA regulations and processes preferred.
Experience in domestic and import logistics, inventory planning and transportation.
