BNBuilders is currently seeking a qualified\u00a0Purchasing\u00a0Associate\u00a0to provide overall leadership and maintain the high standards that we aim to achieve. Duties and Responsibilities Receive verbal and written requisitions for tools and equipment from Grizzly operations team. Review and source materials and equipment in accordance with established company practices and procedures. Solicit quotations for materials and equipment from vendors. Review, analyze and present findings to management with emphasis on best economic value and defined company procurement objectives. Leverage vendors across multiple procurements to create cost savings. Solicit and prepare submittal documentation in support of project managers. Proactively track rebates and provide regular updates to leadership. Communicate with estimators and Project Managers. Interview vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price and availability. Manage and update Grizzly pricing to ensure it is competitive in the market. Maintain procurement analytics and records, such as items purchased, cost and product quality Ensure all purchased product meets specifications and adds value to the customer. Clearly communicate with and support the Grizzly operations team. Negotiate, renegotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives. Monitor shipments to ensure goods come in on time and resolve problems related to undelivered goods. Confer with staff, users and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or service and determine corrective action. Provide training and conduct procurement related audits to ensure procedures are followed. Perform additional duties as directed by Grizzly leadership team. Qualifications BA\/BS in business, construction management, supply chain management or equivalent degree and a minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience in construction. 3 years\u2019 demonstrated procurement experience in a fast-paced business environment Thorough knowledge of construction tools and equipment. Strong negotiation experience. Working knowledge of procurement techniques, procedures and policies. Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients and others. Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization. Proven track record of developing, implementing and utilizing processes and procedures. Demonstrated ability to coordinate resources to meet internal business objectives and customer expectations. Thorough knowledge of effective and efficient production and manufacturing methods. Thorough knowledge of company product, policies and procedures. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills. Demonstrated successful application of managerial and supervisory skills. Demonstrated skills or knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills and dealing with ambiguity. Strong analytical and mathematical ability. Ability to effectively implement change. Ability to facilitate meetings.
