Job Title: Technical Buyer II - PMA\r
Department: Technical Purchasing\r
Reports to: Technical Purchasing Manager\r
Job Summary:\r
Oversee the ordering, expediting, and canceling of parts to control inventory levels while maximizing turns. \r
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:\r
Procure parts manufactured to Wencor West drawings in a timely manner at an acceptable cost.  \r
Negotiate price and delivery with suppliers as needed.  \r
Coordinate with internal machine shop and assembly shop.  \r
Monitor inventory levels to maximize turns without jeopardizing fill rates.  \r
Work with Product Development and Engineering to identify sources and provide samples.\r

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\r
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\r
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.\r
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: CPM certification is preferred. Ability to read blue prints is preferred. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (turning, milling, grinding, casting, hydro-forming, etc) \r
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\r
Is regularly required to sit, use hands, and talk or hear.\r
Is occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.\r
Has clear vision at 20 inches or less.\r
Works in a moderate noise level.\r
Education Requirements:  Bachelor's of Science degree in Business, Engineering, or related degree with one year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
