This person will be based at the North American headquarters for this large animal feed additives company. This is a new position based on growth that this company is experiencing. The main thrust of this role will be the responsible sourcing and buying of common feed ingredients and the annual spend for this buyer will be greater than $100MM. This person will maintain a result-based methodology for evaluating supplier’s performance and effectiveness as well as the saving potential they offer. They will lead negotiation efforts on purchase agreements and vendor contracts and will serve as an internal resource for commodity and supply questions. Travel for this position will be in the 5-20% range, visiting company facilities as well as vendor facilities. The parent company is a multi-billion dollar manufacturer with facilities around the World.
