Communicates monitors and ensures compliance with purchasing guidelines for processing purchase orders. Will perform procurement support functions including analyzing purchase requests, consulting with requestors/vendors, issuing purchase orders, expediting, and the interface with MMIS and Accounts Payable. Initiates the purchase of goods and services, tracking and following up on orders through delivery. Maintains communication with requisitioning departments regarding status of orders. Follow up on orders to ensure receipt of ordered items, service, or equipment.
Communicates higher level purchasing issues to supervisor
Ensures purchase order accuracy during processing ( i.e, pricing, quantity)
Receives request for purchase orders routed to Supply Chain Management through eProcurement and accurately processes purchases of materials, equipment, supplies, and services for AHC entities in accordance with prescribed purchasing policies and procedures.
Investigates pricing and backorder issues with requestors and vendors for resolution; facilities product substitutions on backorder products, expedites open orders.
Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with vendors and hospital customers.
Works with contracting to ensure accuracy with pricing related to contracting.
When identified, communicates item master issues to Supply Chain IT Analyst.
Always communicates clearly and professionally at all times.
Processes capitol, service agreements, and other purchase orders as assigned.
Works on projects as assigned.
High School diploma or GED.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ¿ Excel, Word, Outlook
Displays excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
Ability to handle a multi-task environment.
