Sr. Buyer - Commercial

To fuel our continued growth, we are seeking a Sr. Buyer â€“ Commercial reporting to the Sr. Director of Merchandising.
Lead our B2B, SMB and EDU efforts with responsibilities including respective category assortment, pricing and promotional plans, leading engagement with the field and Corp teams. This individual will be accountable for the Commercial P&L for these categories and will need to ensure we have great short term and long range plans to grow our business and push compliance, discipline and growth. This individual will have to maintain strong business relationships with internal and external partners across multiple categories. As the business leader, you will be responsible for the teamâ€™s KPIâ€™s of World Class Assortment, Revenue, and Gross Margin. In addition to that this leader will be required to be our key connection with the field and viewed as their key partner to close business deals.
Responsible for the full omni-channel assortment across various categories
Commercial P&L responsibilities
Negotiate and drive pricing
Drive principles and vision for category merchandising
Establish category promotion calendar (rolling 12 months)
Lead contact with the field and corp partners across (PMG, WWCS, WWLP, CDS, Finance, etc.)
Guide the storesâ€™ business based on market analysis, intuition and actual results
Analytical Problem Solving
Identifying patterns of causal relationships, breaking down problems into simple terms, and systematic in the approach to solving simple and complex problems, always staying focused on solving real-world problems and/or advancing the state of the art.
Effectively working with individuals and organizations outside of oneâ€™s immediate work area or span of control.

The ability to develop solid, long-term relationships with customers, partners, and clients. Demonstrating a deep understanding of the customer/partner/clientâ€™s business and organization to establish mutually beneficial relationships that are based on trust.
Global Process Management
The ability to engage in and manage global processes to achieve a high level of efficiency and effectiveness with the end customer in mind.
5 years of merchandising or related retail/eCommerce industry experience
5 years buying experience3 years commercial experience

Previous experience working directly with vendors, merchants, and supply chain organizations â€¢Track record for establishing trusting relationships and communications with senior executives
