Kelly Financial Resources is currently recruiting for a Jr. Buyer for an Interior Design company in Long Beach, CA.\u00a0 This is an excellent temp to hire opportunity with ample opportunities for professional growth and development.\r

If selected for this position, duties would include:\r
\r
\tReview production orders and schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of all materials required to maximize production schedule and avoid downtime\r
\tSchedule delivery dates of all materials in order to meet or exceed production schedule requirements\r
\tWork with operations, sales and shop supervisors to plan production schedule, establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, and assure that all materials are on hand in a timely fashion\r
\tWork with operations, sales and shop supervisors to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs, maximize efficiencies and prevent operational delays\r
\tAble to procure domestic and offshore finish goods\r
\tReview fabrication drawings to determine material needs\r
\tReview, approve and process requisitions for all materials needed\r
\tCoordinate with design and engineering to insure viability of using specified plans and materials\r
\tNegotiate with mills, service centers and vendors to obtain \u201cbest in class\u201d products and services to include price, availability, and delivery schedule\r
\tReplenish raw materials with Epicor\r
\tWork closely with multiple vendors (domestic and foreign) to assure most favorable terms, to include pricing, payment terms, delivery and storage/processing\r
\tPrepare and process bid requests and subsequent placement of Purchase Orders\r
\tReview bid proposals and negotiate contracts within and budgetary limitations and scope of authority\r
\tMaintain procurement records on all materials, products and services, to include purchase history, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories\r
\tDiscuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with management to determine source of trouble and take prompt corrective action\r
\tArrange for the orderly disposal of surplus materials\r
\tFollow up on orders placed on a daily basis and keep track of open purchase orders for month end\r
\tMaintain good communications with operations and evaluate replacement materials when needed\r
\tNegotiate material returns to vendors to obtain RA and or credit to the account\r
\tVerify inventory levels prior to placing orders to avoid overstock\r

Qualified candidates will possess the following:\r

\tBachelor Degree required\r
\tProduction Manufacturing/Fabrication Background\r
\tAble to perform RFI/RFP programs\r
\tStrong analytical and planning skills\r
\tAbility to work independently\r
\tSolid interpersonal and communication skills\r
\tExcellent time management skills\r
\tStrong Excel and Word skills\r
\r
