The Global Procurement organization creates a competitive advantage for Hallmark by using a category-based strategic sourcing approach to leverage Hallmark collective spend worldwide. We provide sourcing solutions through a diverse supply base that enables Hallmark to fulfill its corporate purpose.
The Product Buyer in Finished Goods is responsible to understand the needs of their assigned business and determine the best supplier strategy to meet those needs. Through the use of global sourcing and supply chain strategies they will help bring new and existing product categories to the market.

Determine the proper global sourcing strategy for products created by assigned business partners. Leverage sourcing best practices to select supplier based on cost, production capabilities, and factory capacity. Source new suppliers to support the supply chain strategy for each business's innovation and serviceability needs.
Develop expertise in the assigned category, industry, and competitive landscape as well as supply base options. Understand how products are manufactured and be able offer cost savings suggestions.
Develop and maintain key supplier relationships. Manage their performance on cost, quality, and serviceability and collaborate to bring new solutions and supplier innovations forward. Manage issues that arise with suppliers and work together to problem solve.
Partner and support all phases of the end to end product development process and serve as support with foreign buying offices and suppliers. Lead sample and cost review process ensuring product aligns with cost targets and desired aesthetics. Connect team with other supply chain partners such as Logistics and Product Integrity as needed. Use LEAN principles to target waste in our end-to-end process to facilitate on-time and accurate hand-offs to our product execution partners.
Contribute towards Global Procurements organizational goals on key measures such as cost savings and flawless execution. Source suppliers of all backgrounds in keeping with Hallmarks commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The following is required to be considered for this role:
Bachelor's Degree
3 years procurement, supply chain or product development experience
Your resume will stand out if you have:
International procurement or product development experience preferred.
Strong people and communication skills - able to work effectively with a diverse mix of product teams, business partners & suppliers.
Project management and multi-tasking skills - able to handle multiples programs and priorities simultaneously.
Process Management, LEAN experience
Financial acumen and analysis skills
