The Gulf Coast branch offers the following services: Lab Chemical Services, On-Site Services, Transportation, Household Hazardous Waste, Reactive Chemicals, Remediation, Training Services, Specialty Services, Drum Management, Incineration, Fuels Blending, Recycling and Radioactive Waste Management.Purchasing ManagerJob Summary: Responsible for selecting suppliers and/or vendors in the procurement of a variety of materials, supplies, and services required to continue efficient and effective performance of the all operations at the site in accordance with company goals and directives while applying cost effective methodologies in purchasing and delivery of quality materials, light and/or heavy equipment and related services in a timely manner as not to affect operational plans. Responsible for $25 – 30 million spend annually.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Negotiates major purchase orders and contracts and reviews commercial terms with Corporate Procurement as appropriate• Develop and, implement category objectives using key performance indicators. Manage category objectives to insure the KPI’s are met.• Executes projects leading to specific reductions in category costs contributing to the EBITDA performance.• Understand applicable company policy and insure personal and team compliance including the procurement policy and procedures, Sox controls and DOA.• Lead negotiations, supplier resourcing, contract negotiations and compliance management for defined commodity groups.• Enforces ethical practices in all dealings with suppliers.• Keeps apprised of economic and business situations as they affect procurement policies and strategies.• Develops new roles/procedures as needed due to change in business situations, technology, processes or procedures.• Maintains, evaluates and expands reliable sources of supply and backup sources of supply to ensure adequate supplier production capacity. Develops new suppliers.• Develops relationships with key supplier personnel and improves understanding of costs, schedules and quality drivers.• Evaluates and communicates performance measures to suppliers, identifies areas of for improvement and follows-up with corrective action. • Authorizes purchase orders and other contractual agreements in accordance with policies and procedures.• Approve invoices for payment per company policies and procedures.• Coordinates all contract change orders with project management teams.*LI-AK1
Education/Experience:• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Procurement or closely related field.• 5-7 years in materials management, supply chain management, supplier quality systems and development and implementation of sourcing strategies.• Experience with SAP and OWAM highly desirable.• Knowledge of plant purchasing, plant warehouse and contract negotiations/management.Knowledge, Skills and Ability:• Strong PC skill with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and data base software and the ability to optimize the use of technology and systems to communicate, manage budget and to streamline processes and increase efficiency. • Demonstrated knowledge of budget preparation and cost control and have the ability to forecast budget, staffing and equipment needs.• Ingenuity and initiative are required to coordinate problem resolution, resolve conflicting priorities and to meet assignment deadlines with a team environment.• Demonstrated leadership ability with some supervisory experience and ability to manage resources (personnel, equipment, materials, facilities, funds, and reputation).• Demonstrated ability to make decisions with careful consideration of the merits of alternative choices, to draw conclusions, resolve disputes and exercise judgment forthrightly and unambiguously.• Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, effective, and complete and easily understood written communications and reports.• Demonstrated commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and other Company policies and procedures.Veolia is an equal opportunity employer','Purchasing / Procurement / Logistics Manager','United States-Texas-Port Arthur','','Feb 28, 2019','Standard','','','Full-time','Management','BA/BSc Degree or equivalent','BA/BSc Degree or equivalent','Purchasing Manager
