General information relating to the position On a projects, the lead project buyer coordinates the supply chain activities from the kick-off through execution until the project close out, in accordance with the project strategy, project team, and the Group Procurement and Supply Chain policy. Operationally in the project, maintains the sourcing strategy, animates and coordinates the supply chain activities for the project team. 2. tasks and responsibilities Defines and executed with the PSCM Manager and stakeholders the supply chain strategy in accordance with the project requirement and planning. Prepares the supply chain project plan focused on the strategy, schedule, and budget along with any other necessary information from supply chain for the project. Is responsible to obtain the savings target on the project and applies all standard levers available through the PSCM Group, while satisfying the cost, schedule, and quality requirements of the project. Coordinates the supply chain activities for assigned projects. Will develop new suppliers and alternative sources of materials and/or raw materials, aiming for high quality and low cost of products with a focus in low cost country (LCC). Participates in the planning, scheduling and production control of the project. Responsible to maintain the project purchasing dashboard using the standard tools. Consolidates and validates internal and external budgets for purchasing, logistic and quality. Tracks and follows the project costs and time variances and ensures to take all necessary actions to avoid deviations to budget. Reports variations if unavoidable. Project interface with engineering and project management. Identifies critical and strategic suppliers (those whose products/services impact directly the compliance with contractual requirements, people safety or may cause severe impacts to the environment). Focus on project objectives (contractual conditions, purchasing budget, planning, and quality). Anticipates available discounts and maintains the budget for which he is responsible. Sets the supply chain planning for purchasing and delivery teams. Ensures the consistency with the overall project planning. Working in the supply chain team to reach successfully project milestones, deliveries, and compliance with the deadlines (internal and external) for supply chain deliverables. Summarizes the supply chain activities for the project. Reviews with functional management the project supply chain budget, supply chain risk & opportunities matrix, and ensures the progress & updates. Keeps informed to the project stakeholders and the PSCM Manager about major contracts and main information from the project. Responsible for complying with and enforcing the procedures and processes of the company. Responsible for enforcing the law, behaving with morals and ethics before society and all the stakeholders. Participate in LCC sourcing to optimize purchasing value. Identify underperforming or non-performing suppliers iduring the project life cycle. Participate in various Value Analysis projects & Kaizen blitz projects to improve sourcing. Utilization of company software applications such as: SAP, Pyramid, DMT, the Vault Document Storage, and Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and knowledge of this software. Reports to Management all anomalies and deviations found (occupational / environmental accidents, damage to property, bullying, sexual harassment, near misses, nonconformities, not compliance with a legal or contractual requirement, unsafe behaviour, etc.) Other duties as assigned by management.
