Position Summary

The

Director, Purchasing must be a

highly-motivated and self-driven team player that has the ability to perform in

a dynamic production and development environment. This candidate will execute

strategic sourcing and buying initiatives aimed at improving performance within

the TRU Purchasing team.

The Director, Purchasing reports to the VP

& CFO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement team in all strategic

and tactical efforts Including strategic procurement activities, source

selection, price analysis, negotiations, order placement, and order management.

• Drive

procurement team performance through tactical metrics in support of

organizational KPI’s.

• Develop a

strategic sourcing strategy to meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements.

• Develop and lead cost out opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.

• Manage key

supply management initiatives including purchasing agreements and supplier

performance development/improvement.

• Develop and

manage effective metrics to evaluate and monitor supply base performance and

all internal purchasing system effectiveness

• Support

proposal efforts to include source selection and pricing data.

• Manage TRU

Small Business Office (SBO) activities.

','!*!Qualifications

and Experience:

• Experience in

Strategic Sourcing and Purchasing.

• Experience

negotiating purchasing agreements.

• Experience leading a team.

• Experience in

the procurement of materials and services in support of US Government customers

and in full compliance of FAR/DFAR.

• Experience

managing requirements of a small business office, including development of

small business subcontracting plans, reports and outreach efforts to potential

small business suppliers.

• Experience

working within an ERP environment and systems related to purchase order

transactions and subcontracts administration.

• Bachelor’s

degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field.

• Variation

Reduction and Waste Elimination skills. Green/Black Belt certification a plus.

• Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook,

PowerPoint, Word).

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Strong

interpersonal skills.
