Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the timely release of work orders to the shop floor to meet customer requirements Generates load verses capacity reports at the start of each month for shop floor loading Review capacity planning and material requirements Manage and control MRB reviews if required Understand & control predetermined inventory targets for each month and maintain those targets Perform inventory transaction from the shop floor to maintain inventory integrity Supply all necessary data on Visual data entry forms specific to planning Responsible for ordering and maintaining control of all shop floor supplies and floor stock materials. Coordinate any activity that affects stock sweeps due to material issues Interaction with supervisors, production managers & business unit managers on material status and production planning issues. Responsible for interaction with Contract Administrators for material availability on new orders. Manage aged work order reports and work order integrity on the shop floor Initiate and maintain R inventory management requirements. Education and Experience: Associate's degree and 5 years of experience in a production planning/materials controls function or equivalent combination of education and experience such as a broad manufacturing background of 5 or more years of material control or material planning. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress. Computer literacy applied to scheduling and data management. Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation. Training Requirements: General Safety. Electrostatic Discharge Awareness.
