Job Information This position entails the management of sourcing specialists supporting a specific business area or category of commodities. The Category Manager will report to a Regional Category Manager and be responsible for ensuring the team partners with sources that provide the quality, price, delivery, and availability required to meet Doosan's requirements. Role & Responsibility Supplier Relationship Management Manage supplier relationships and facilitate development of strategies for improvement and partnering with the right suppliers Involved in helping the sourcing specialists keep abreast of market conditions and changes within the supplier's organization that may affect the relationship. New Product Development Support Coordinate with team to ensure that appropriate product launch plans are in place during the New Product Development phases. People Management Managing sourcing specialists- this includes managing the day-to-day roles in addition to helping the sourcing specialist define long-term strategies for their categories. Work closely with the Regional Category Manager for alignment and development of the individual and the team. Responsible for facilitating cross-functional strategic goal-setting and alignment with the internal stakeholders Cost, Quality & Delivery Improvement Knowledge with regards to commodities they are responsible for and maintain a good working knowledge of Doosan products. Work with all the facets ofthe organization to define KPIs and facilitate achievement of goals setting and achieve annual productivity goals. Job Requirement Bachelor\u2019s Degree - Engineering, Business or related degree required. Must be able to communicate with everyone within an organization from persons on the shop floor to CEOs of major corporations. Must practice good judgement which allows the individual to commit to the most appropriate action after considering alternate courses of action. Must have leadership skills which will allow the Category Manager to persuade others to also accept this action and help implement the action plan. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to follow written instructions. 7-10 years\u2019 experience 5 years\u2019 experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred Demonstrated ability to lead teams. 25 - 50% travel
