Description: THE DIRECTOR OF SUPPLY CHAIN The Director of Supply Chain directs an organization's overall supply chain operations for the facility, including purchasing, inventory and distribution of supplies and equipment. Responsible for the financial performance, including the evaluation of spend to established targets, including contract compliance, budget, forecast etc. Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. Ensures that issues regarding existing and new products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Direct product conversion.Essential Job Duties: Accountable for all medical supply\/services spend and resultant financial results with respect to budget\/forecasting\/targets. Accountable for human resource management outcomes and productivity. Accountable for building and maintaining relationships with peer department heads and administrative leadership teams. Directs product conversion efforts. Accountable for meeting Supply Chain measures of success related to spend\/inventory\/HR\/customer satisfaction. Responsible for continuous improvement of material flow, utilization analysis, and supply chain optimization. Charged with continually developing hospital identified savings prospects and exploits known opportunities. Directs capital equipment program\/develops capital budgets\/builds CERs\/ tracks and reports status to administration. Drives organization toward committed contract compliance through direct engagement with physicians and other key stakeholders. Participates in national\/regional contract development efforts and initiatives. Develops leading practice policies and procedures in purchasing, inventory control, receiving and storage, distribution, material processing, and returns. Oversees hospital vendor management program to ensure vendors are credentialed and approved to be onsite. Leads hospital level and market level process improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. Brookwood Baptist Medical Center today is a 607 bed, full service acute care hospital deeply embedded within the Birmingham Community. Qualifications: Bachelor\u2019s degree in related field required. Master\u2019s degree preferred.Two (2) years of experience in Purchasing OR graduate internship in supply chain required.
