As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Temporary Strategic Buyer
in our aircraft refrigeration business located in Anaheim, CA.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to optimize the supply-chain management of parts to eliminate unnecessary operation sequences.
Able to negotiate long-term agreements to insure on-time delivery along with delegated inspection that insures parts go dock-to-stock. Solicits bids and quotations;
Reviews and negotiates purchase contracts for parts with focus on material cost reduction.
Ability to plan and conduct reviews and informational meetings with supplier partners.
Experience providing guidance and recommendations to suppliers to help meet material requirements and eliminate interruptions in material flows.
Effective communications between suppliers and manufacturing personnel.
Strong negotiation skills for managing supplier performance (price, quality, delivery and support).
Proven experience with Purchasing practices and procedures
Strong MicroSoft Office skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
Experience with MRP
Purchasing in an Aerospace environment a plus.
