Medtronic is currently looking to hire a Sr. Program Manager, Purchasing Operations to serve as a liaison between the Restorative Therapies Group (RTG) Sourcing function and the Brain/Specialty plants. This position will play a key role in driving best practices in purchasing and inventory management and will be a key point of escalation in resolution of supply issues.
This position will report to the VP of RTG Sourcing and work closely with all RTG Manufacturing plant sites as well as other Sourcing functional leaders.

The Restorative Therapies Group develops life-restoring therapies and healthcare solutions that span the care continuum; integrating technologies and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve efficiency of procedures and deliver successful patient outcomes.
**A Day in the Life**
•Serve in a liaison role between RTG Operations Manufacturing plant leaders, Material Managers, and Sourcing functional leaders to escalate and resolve issues with planning and delivery of product.
•Provide leadership for cross-functional teams to ensure effective management and continuous performance improvement of supply management processes.
•Work with cross functional team to identify or develop and implement best practice standards for site buying
•Lead and coordinate efforts to ensure successful and timely resolution of critical supply issues and develop strategies with RTG Sourcing and sites to prevent issues.
•Develop and implement strategies to ensure materials cost objectives are achieved.
•Develop and implement strategies to ensure raw material inventory goals are achieved
•Assist in creation and continued analysis of material and supply metrics for continuous improvement opportunities
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
•Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of related experience.
•Master’s Degree and 5 years’ experience in a related field
**Nice to Have**
•Preferred experiences include plant operations, materials management, procurement, supply chain, and sourcing.
•Ability to lead, energize and influence change efforts at all levels of a complex organization.
•Strong business acumen and negotiation skills.
•Hands-on experience implementing lean and six sigma projects. Green or black belt certification.
•Track record of delivering results while being driven to win.
•Accountability for results to be achieved through influence.
•Strong change management skills
•Strong collaboration and influencing skills to work with internal and external partners
•Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing change initiatives.
•Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
•Proficient in the use of project management tools, and application of continuous process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent. Project Management certification a plus.
•Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to interface and influence at all organizational levels.
•Excellent understanding of data analytic and statistical tools, capable of explaining the underlying concepts and principles.
•Excellent decision-making skills, taking into account all relevant factors and stakeholders.
•Skills in with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio, and ERP systems such as SAP.
